We are excited to announce auditions for our upcoming production of Disney’s Frozen Jr.! This is a great opportunity for performers of all experience levels to get involved in a magical show with a talented team. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or this is your first show, we encourage you to come out and audition!

Rehearsal Schedule
- Start Date: Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm
- Weekly Rehearsals: Every Sunday, same time
- Biweekly Tuesday Rehearsals: 5:00pm – 7:00pm
- Dates: Feb 4, Feb 18, Mar 4, Mar 18, Apr 1, Apr 5, Apr 15, Apr 29, May 13, May 27
Note:
- Sunday Rehearsals will be at Sonata Piano Studio.
- Tuesday Rehearsals will be at Tecumseh Arena.
- No rehearsals on Family Day (Feb 16) and Easter Sunday (Apr 20).
- Attendance may not be required at all rehearsals, depending on your role. A detailed schedule will be provided before rehearsals start.
Tech Week
- Dates: June 4 – June 6, 2025
- Location: École Secondaire Catholique l’Essor
- Attendance: Mandatory
- The entire cast will run the show with costumes, props, and music.
Performance Dates
- When: June 7 & June 8, 2025 (Afternoon Shows)

Audition Information
Audition Date
- When: Sunday, January 26, 2025
- Time: 5:00pm – 8:00pm
- Note: You will be assigned a 10-minute private time slot for singing and acting.

Preparation
- Script & Songs: You’ll need to perform the assigned lines and song excerpts for your audition.
- Audition Materials: Frozen Jr. Audition Material
- Vocal Tracks (for practice): Vocal Tracks
- Role-Specific Materials: If you’re auditioning for a character without specific lines or music, please prepare the ensemble material.
What to Expect at Your Audition
- Arrival: Please arrive 10 minutes early for your audition and check in.
- What to bring:
- Water bottle
- Your sheet music or lines
- Indoor shoes
- What to wear: Wear something comfortable and confident—no need for costumes!
- Photo: A mandatory photo will be taken for casting purposes.
Note: Parents will not be permitted in the audition room.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need prior experience to audition?
No experience is required. Everyone is encouraged to audition!
Do I need to memorize my lines or songs?
Memorization is not required, but it is strongly encouraged!
Will there be a dance component?
No, the audition will not include dancing. However, if you have dance experience, let us know!
What if I’m auditioning for more than one role?
Sing the part you’re most comfortable with. You may be asked to perform lines or sing for a different role during the audition.
When will I know if I’ve been cast?
You will be notified by Wednesday, January 29th. Not everyone who auditions will be cast.
Will there be callbacks?
No callbacks will be held.
Character Descriptions
- Elsa: The older sister with magical ice powers. Strong, independent, but fearful of hurting others.
- Anna: The younger, adventurous sister who is loyal, optimistic, and full of energy.
- Kristoff: A rugged ice harvester who is down-to-earth, kind-hearted, and brave.
- Olaf: A cheerful, naive snowman brought to life by Elsa’s magic.
- Sven: Kristoff’s loyal reindeer, quirky but endearing.
- Hans: A charming prince with a hidden, manipulative side.
- Grand Pabbie: A wise troll king who offers guidance about Elsa’s powers and the importance of love.
Helpful Audition Tips
- Warm up your voice and drink lots of water before your audition.
- Use the audition space to your advantage—actions and emotion matter!
- Make eye contact with the directors while singing and acting.
- Show emotion—don’t be afraid to be expressive and even silly!
- Project your voice and speak clearly. Take your time and enjoy the experience!
- Remember: The directors are rooting for you! We want you to have fun and do your best.
